Dr. Allan Acton and the Cary Family Dental team offer top-quality dental services to the great people of Cary, Raleigh, NC, and the surrounding areas.
Dr. Acton opened Cary Family Dental in 2003 and since that time, has become one of the Triangle’s most accomplished and trusted dentists. He is a graduate of The Hornbrook Group prestigious esthetic training program, has completed hundreds of hours of continuing education, including specialized training in dental implant surgery, and is the recipient of the Fellowship Award from the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI).
Dentistry is part of Dr. Madden’s DNA as she was raised by her parents who were both dentists. She is a graduate of the UNC-CH School of Dentistry, member of the North Carolina Dental Society and the American Dental Association. She is a certified provider of Invisalign clear braces and TruDenta – a system that treats headaches, migraines, TMJ, Tinnitus and neck pain. Dr. Madden is best known for the quality care she provides and making each of her patients feel like family.
Dr. Lavender Mehat believes great dentistry begins with listening. Her approach is simple. When patients feel understood and supported, they feel more confident in their care, and the entire experience becomes easier and more meaningful. With a dual background in Biology and Psychology and advanced training at one of the top hospital-based dental programs in the country, she brings a rare balance of clinical precision and genuine human connection to Cary Family Dental.
Dr. Wooten was born and raised in Cary. He attended UNC Chapel Hill where he earned a BS in Biology and competed on the swimming and diving team as a springboard diver. He completed his dental training at VCU School of Dentistry and has since practiced in Philadelphia, PA and most recently in Richmond, VA. He is excited to be back home in the Triangle close to family and friends and is thrilled to have the opportunity to serve the community he grew up in.
Dr. Van Scoyoc is a specialist in Periodontics and Implantology and is board certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and continued in a 3-year surgical residency to receive his masters in Periodontics. As a specialist, he treats patients with gum disease and oral pathology, as well as provides reconstructive plastic surgery aesthetically enhance the smile. Throughout his career, Dr. Van Scoyoc has served organized dentistry in many leadership positions, as well as provided lectures at national venues.
