GraceCFD

Cary, NC — Grace felt insecure about her smile when she first came to Cary Family Dental. She’d been struggling with her teeth for a long time, but we found a permanent solution and helped her get her confidence back.

Grace’s Insecurity

Grace came to our office after her front crown had failed.

She wanted to replace it along with three other front teeth. “When I was 15,” she said, “I broke my four front teeth, and, ever since then, it’s been a series of cap replacements every so many decades. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve wanted my teeth to look not just aesthetically pleasing but, also, I want my mouth to feel healthy.”

We Made a Plan

Smiling should be almost effortless. We want our patients to keep up with their daily hygiene, but they shouldn’t have to worry about anything else. Since Grace had been in and out of the dentist for years, we knew that we needed to make a new plan for her.

We decided to fix all of Grace’s problems with a bridge. Dental bridges are made up of two or more crowns for the teeth on each side of the gap – they literally bridge the gap created by missing teeth. A bridge was the perfect option for Grace, because her two front teeth needed to be removed due to recurrent decay and failed root canals.

The bridge gave Grace a beautiful smile again, and her mouth is healthy.

It was a really great experience. I had concerns about being anxious in the dentist chair, but Dr. Acton and the staff addressed that. Every visit I’ve had [at Cary Family Dental] has been pleasant, and the final results [of my bridge] are great. My teeth look as good as I could imagine them to be, my bite is fine and I’m just very pleased. I hope not to have to replace these caps again for the duration of my lifetime.
