Cary Family Dental’s Crystal Koran Nominated for “Hygienist of the Year” Award
Industry award recognizes national professionals who exemplify dental excellence
CARY, NC – February 3, 2010 – Cary Family Dental is pleased to announce that Crystal Koran has been nominated for the Crown Council’s “Hygienist of the Year” award. The Crown Council is a multi-national alliance of leading-edge dental teams dedicated to raising the standard of dental care and becoming leaders in health, wellness, and prevention in their communities.
Koran is one of 14 dental professionals nominated to receive this award, which recognizes one hygienist among Crown Council’s members in the United States and Canada who goes above the beyond the call of duty and works to make his or her practice a success. Nominees should possess “certain magical qualities that make them the very best in their profession” and who are “hard-working, caring, personable, knowledgeable, thorough, friendly, up-beat, enthusiastic, compassionate, funny, and positive.”
Dr. Acton and his staff recently took part in the Crown Council’s Smiles for Life campaign, where Cary Family Dental raised over $20,000 by offering teeth whitening services at a significantly reduced price. Half of the funds raised were contributed to the Garth Brooks’ Teammates For Kids Foundation for use in health, education, and inner city programs that benefit children. The other half was contributed to Triangle Downs Syndrome.
The winner of the award will be announced at The Crown Council’s Annual Event in Nashville, TN in January of 2008.
