Cary Family Dental Donates to the American Heart Association
CARY, NC – March 28, 2016 – Today Cary Family Dental donated $5000 to the American Heart Association. The American Heart Association helps millions of people around the country to understand the importance of making healthy life choices. They have built a network of doctors, educators, nutritionists, caregivers and professionals to assist in making sure they are using their resources for the betterment of all of our hearts.
We at Cary Family Dental know on a personal level what wonderful work the American Heart Association does. Dr. Allan Acton’s son, Jack, was diagnosed with Heteroxtoxy Syndrome, a congenital defect that affects the arrangement of organs within the chest and abdomen. Due to this condition, his heart formed with only two chambers, significantly impacting his blood circulation throughout his body. One out of million children are born with this condition and 30 or 40 years ago children with this condition only lived a day or two.
“We owe a debt of gratitude to the American Heart Association; they played a role in getting jack to this point and will play a role in his future. There is not a plan B for Jack so we are relying on research and awareness and that is what the AHA is all about. Giving to the American Heart Association supports what will be the future for Jack and children like Jack and heart patients everywhere,” states Dr. and Mrs. Allan Acton of Cary Family Dental.
