Doctor Transitions this Summer

Categories: About Our Office

Since I opened the practice 16 years ago, my mission has been to create a place where people love going to the dentist. I believed that working with people to get them out of pain or give them a healthy, beautiful smile could change their lives and their perception of the dentist.

Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of working with a team of doctors who fully embraced this vision and helped our practice live up to our motto of “changing lives through dentistry.”

After several wonderful years, our team is sending off two of these amazing dentists, Dr. Keith Gaught and Dr. Gabriel Duncan, from our practice.

Dr. Gaught has faithfully and passionately served patients at our practice for the past 5 years.

After the recent birth of his second daughter, Dr. Gaught has decided to take an indefinite paternity leave so he can spend more time with his family and dedicating time to his role as a father.

We are happy for his growing family and wish him the very best. His last day with us will be June 30, 2019.

Dr. Duncan and I have worked together for the past 3 years. Over that time he’s completed hundreds of hours of continuing education and has been instrumental in the start of our Saturday schedule.

Later this fall, Dr. Duncan will be opening a new practice in a nearby town. We are excited for him and know that he will have an amazing practice.

In addition to this transition, Cary Family Dental will welcome a new dentist, Dr. Eric Davis, to our team this July! Dr. Davis has completed his dental school education and a residency in Advanced General Dentistry from the UNC Dental School and is thrilled to join our dental family.

While we are sad to see two of our long term dentists leave, we remain excited about the future of Cary Family Dental. As you all know, this practice has a team of some of the most knowledgeable and caring dentists in the area.

Dr. Parekh, Dr. Bostian, Dr. Hancock, Dr. Van Scoyoc, Dr. Davis, and I are committed to delivering the excellent experience that you’ve come to expect.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding this transition, I’d love to talk to you.

You can reach out to any of our doctors by sending an email to and your message will be directed to the appropriate person.

Our team is grateful for your loyalty and we look forward to providing you continued good health in the coming years.
