Cary Family Dental Whitening Teeth to Benefit Children’s Charities
Money raised by Dr. Allan Acton and team will benefit Triangle Down Syndrome Network
CARY, NC – March 25, 2008 – As part of the Crown Council’s Smiles for Life campaign, Dr. Allan Acton of Cary Family Dental is offering teeth whitening services at a significantly reduced price, with 100% of the proceeds being donated to help children facing serious health and educational problems in communities throughout North America. The program lasts from March through June and marks the third consecutive year that Dr. Allan and his team have participated in this campaign.
“The teeth whitening procedure is quick and painless, with excellent results,” explains Dr. Acton, a Crown Council dentist. “Most importantly, a few minutes in the chair can help touch a child’s life forever.”
The Smiles for Life Foundation is the children’s charity organization of the Crown Council, an organization of leading-edge dentists throughout North America. Each year, over a four-month period, Crown Council dentists participating in the Smiles for Life campaign offer professional teeth whitening services at a considerably reduced price and donate 100 percent of the proceeds to children’s charities. The Crown Council’s Smiles for Life Foundation has raised more than $22 million since 1998, benefiting nearly 500 children’s charities across North America. Since joining the campaign, Dr. Acton has raised nearly $25,000.
“Smiles for Life allows a person to help children in need by doing something that benefits them as well,” explains Greg Anderson, director of the Crown Council. “Dr. Acton and his team donate their time and expertise, while Discus Dental provides all supplies. Through a unique partnership with legendary entertainer Garth Brooks and his Teammates For Kids Foundation, Smiles For Life guarantees that a full 50 percent of the money raised by Crown Council members like Dr. Acton goes to children’s charities in communities across North America. The remaining 50 percent is contributed to a local children’s charity. This year, Dr. Acton will be donating his proceeds to the Triangle Down Syndrome Network.
